What is the NetBeans plugin?

The NetBeans plugin allows you to transfer your Alice .a3p program to the NetBeans IDE (http://netbeans.org). You can then continue to code and run your program within NetBeans.

At this time you cannot transfer your NetBeans code back into Alice.  It is a one-way ticket (first class, of course).

How do I uninstall Alice?

To uninstall Alice, first make sure Alice is not running on your computer.

For Windows, use the Uninstaller of the Windows Operating System, found in the Control Panel.

     Uninstall on Windows 8

     Uninstall on Windows 7

If you installed using the online or offline installer, find and run the installer you used to install or update Alice.  If you do not have it saved on your computer, you can download it again from the download page.  You do not need to use the same installer version -- a newer installer version is backwards compatible for uninstalling.  Either the online or offline installer can be used.  They are interchangeable.  The online installer is a lot smaller download, so that's the fastest route.

Once the installer is running, it will automatically detect if you have Alice 3 on your system.  If so, the Uninstall option will be available for you to click on, and that's exactly what you should do.

How do I install Alice 3.2 in unattended (silent) mode? (for Alice 3.2.x.x.x and following)

Network administrators may wish to perform a silent installation of Alice 3 on their systems. The current Alice 3 installer has been built using the installation tool, install4j. See the following link for information on installing Alice 3 from the console and / or performing a silent installation.
